Lonnit – Very crisp and clean, good focus, and color.

But it's a rather nice clump of leaves in a puddle. People are reacting to this shot because it's an everyday thing that they'd never shoot. You make it work. People see that.

I so appreciate the feedback. It's very hard to anticipate how people will react. Personally I really liked this shot and hesitated to enter it, figuring it's "just a clump of leaves in a puddle - why do I like it so much? Who else it going to like a clump of leaves in a puddle? Maybe they'll say 'Why'd you waste your entry space by putting in a clump of leaves in a puddle?'". LOL! OTOH, I've got to be me and if I get joy out of shooting a clump of leaves in a puddle, and it doesn't hurt anyone else, what the heck! It wouldn't be the first time somebody thought me odd! LOL! Average is boring IMO. The biggest insult to me is to call me average. I guess that's why I prefer not to go for the "average" picture if I can figure another option. This is one place I can be free and never have to worry about erring on the side of caution - actually, I'm learning to throw caution to the wind when it comes to shooting (well, except if I'm standing on the RR tracks or lying in the street to get a shot - then I'll be cautious, about myself, but not the shot! LOL!

Thanks again!

Sorry about any confusion, most people know already that Richards is me in real life. :) ~ Lonnit

Looks like the leaves are frozen in ice. A very simple snap but I like looking at it. Who is Richards?

Great color and a wonderful capture. I am not sure if I like the reflection or not (I keep going back and forth on it), but I am in the minority on that :).

Al makes a great point about the only time we look down is to avoid such things. I think that what I like best about your work, is that it is spontaneous. On top of that you are able to capture awesome images with in those few seconds.

Congratulations on another great shot!!!!

Really like the use of reflection in this shot. Kind of picture that seems so easy to shoot ... but is missed 9 times out of 10.

Beautiful! I love the colors and the reflections. Very nice capture.

Lonnit, I am so utterly impressed with the way you see color. This is gorgeous. I love the reflections, really makes the shot that much better for me. Wonderful!! angela :)

I like the composition and simple colors. And after all, sidewalks are simple things. The reflections are important and "make" the image. Seems like the only time we actually look down at the sidewalk is to avoid things like wet leaves and such...nice to pause and look at something we usually avoid. --Al Pacheco

Lonnit, you sure do turn out some amazing images, you being a newbie and all. You have an Eye! | Olaf

Lonnit, I like not only the colors but the depth of this shot. The reflection of the water makes it almost three dimensional - nice job! - Ralph Otto
