We're going to bump into each other sooner or later Bob. I went to Altona pier for the first time in my life a couple of weeks ago with some photographer friends, but made a mess of the shoot by forgetting to turn off the IS while using my 17 - 85 on a tripod.
Decided to go back after work this evening, got a couple I like and when I came to upload the first, saw two familiar looking shots already there.
I hope you don't mind - I actually had no idea you had entered these, which are both excellent images. I think I prefer the b&w one.

Mmm... I looked at the bw before opening up this one. And now I cannot decide which I prefer. :-) From sand... to sea... yes, I can definitely see a transition here. Compliments.
