A good image has gotten even better. *Much* better, IMO. Love it! -- db.

Eyes are now showing! (per db) Funny how you can do a final check on your image and miss the obvious. LOL shu
Shu16-Jul-2009 14:09
db--I believe you are right in wanting the eyes to show in the image. My intent on entering this image was to simplify it as much as possible, since I like that look.
However, I will experiment with a b&w version to see what can be done, and, it will be great practice for me! Thanks all for your comments! shu

Very nice, Shu, indeed: it definitely "works" well (quoting Traveller) and adds "a touch of class" (as tv says) to the Challenge. The image has partly lost, though, something (IMO important) the original shows clearly: the *eyes*, the "look" that goes with that smile; maybe worth trying to recover in this overall very effective b&w version?? Best regards, db.

It's nice to have touch of class in the challenge. Beautiful smile. The processing effects give this an old-timey newspaper look like some touched up Weegie. -tv

A VERY light touch of Topaz Labs, desat, darkened left side, softened some of the harsh shadows on right side, sharpened.......I'll post the original. Unfortunately I don't often remember how I arrive at a finished image. That's why I can't often duplicate the work flow. (You can attribute this to age and it drives me crazy!) Thanks. I'm complimented you asked. shu

okay, shu, enlighten us on the post processing for this photo. I'm seeing distinct shade of gray. How did you do it?

Yeppers, it still makes me smile! WTG.

Happy picture of a pretty woman...that has a certain contentment and comfort with herself.
Works for me. Traveller
