Thanks, all.

Nico: actually there was too much available light. We put our camera bags over two spots -- one aimed at this guy, the other at the Gates of Hell, part of which you can see on the right edge of the frame.

Well done, Barry. I was also seriously wondering how the heck you did this... until I saw the long-exposure data. Amazing what available light can do... OK and sometimes it needs to blue squiggles for the sake of interest, too! :-) :-) Regards Nico

Actually, the blue light really adds a lot to this! Sometimes accidents make for more interesting images! Good work, Barry! ~Sharon

... and he and Danny Boy were talking about you that night, Pops! (see Danny's statue entry)

It's almost surreal, this. LOL @ the blue light story, Barry. ~Lydia

Barry, that is really funny.

I actually did wash the statue with a small flashlight, but it was TOO small, and/or I didn't use it enough.

On the other hand, I did forget to turn it off when I was walking around in the frame, leaving the blue squiggle you see. (it's a blue flashlight, meant for finding stuff in my bag without losing too much night vision).

It never ceases to amaze me what you can do with very long exposures. The only thing I'd have added here is washing the statue with a small flashlight. But this is great.

Thanks Traveller. Yep, 452 seconds. Fortunately, there were no earthquakes. Barry
