The colors all come from the buildings. There is a blue light on the building ( The Grande South ) between the one with the green rings (Emerald Shapery Building) and the pointy one (American One Plaza) that is bluer than it looks in a long exposure. This was taken from a nice dark spot. I have taken some from Coronado, but they didn't have the color.

Paul, I look at this and wonder where did the colors in the water come from. They're not all obvious when you look at the buildings. You've done a great job capturing the San Diego skyline at night.
