I don't see any detail it the whites on the right, so I thought they were blown. It's a lovely image. I particularyly like the water drops breaking up the reflections on that part of the vehicle. ~lydia
The whites aren't blown.
What you are looking at is a strip of lighting to the right that has been thrown out of focus by the shallow depth of field as is the back part of the ribbon.
I see blue reflected in the shiny surface of the figure, so I'm thinking this is on topic. The blown whites are very interesting... I like this. The reflections are definitely not a major part of the image... but they're there, huh? ~Lydia
That sounds very clever. I wasn't sure what I was seeing, a ribbon makes sense. I re-read the challenge topic and it actually states "shiny surfaces". Which rules out matte, I guess.

Pretty obvious to me as I took the photo
The ribbon is reflected and lighting is reflected.
It depends on how your preconceived idea of a reflection should be.
refelection can be be ....to think carefully, to reflect back or to show an image as opposed to reflector which is a person or object that reflects light sound heat etc.
As the challenge is about reflection and not reflectors the eye needs to seperate the two.
No idea what is reflecting here, apart from the beautiful colors. But there's no doubt this is highly reflective material, and the chrome shine is very appealing. The dark background makes it look like it's shot indoors.. are you the rich owner, or the poor photographer with a water-spray? :)
