I'm thinking hard about the 70-200 and have changed my mind at least six times.
f/2.8 without IS jumped into top spot for me but now you mentioned weight it could be the f/4 with IS.
I just wondered when and where I would use the slow shutter speed shooting from the hip.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Eric, I like the 70-200 lens very much, especially with IS. The f/2.8 is bigger and a lot heavier. With IS the f/4 is a nice weight and size with the well deserved L lens reputation for quality build and results.
