An example of getting away with breaking the rules. Almost, but not quite, symmetrical both horizontally and vertically and the main subject being totally blown out is not something you'd usually get away with successfully, yet in this image it seems effective. This makes me wonder: why is that? The only certain answer I can find, is the pleasing color gradients in sky and water. Of course, this wouldn't be as attractive without the contrast of light and dark from the monument and trees. I am still debating with myself whether cropping off a sliver to the viewers left (to center the monument) would be an improvement or not.
I want to see lots more of your photograhpy, if these two posts are anything to go by! Wow! Stunning colours, composition, reflection. Super work. Regards Nico
