Very nice and evocative. We all somewhere sometime happen to be on desolated railway station

Thanks all. This is a large RR terminal and I was a bit surprised myself to happen upon these few empty platforms offering an opportunity for the topic. Then I had to run for my train one platform to the left of the fence. -tv

Nice composition. Textbook use of layers, leading lines, thirds and light v dark to draw the eye down the vanishing point. Good Job

What a surprise Tom... 6 pm 'ish on a Friday night and nobody around? I would have expected a bustling crowd eager to get home from where ever?

I like your B&W conversion here, good contrast and dynamic range and very well composed. I agree with Nico in that it is almost a classic 'rule abiding' composition.

Well done Tom! This reminds me of something from a different era. It's hard to believe you could find a time when this would be so still and quiet and not teaming with commuters! CJ

Amazing. 100% on topic. The bw conversion is perfect for the image, in my opinion, and sense of calm, loneliness, desolation, still is intense. Fabulous composition with rule of thirds and leading lines being employed very well. Anything I can think of to do differently, or to improve? Nope. This is really kicking off the eligible gallery on a very high note. Compliments!
