Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. And the winner is: Mary Anne for her incisive analysis and crop suggestion. Second place is: Sharon, who mentioned the chair, which lead me to this color version since I think the chair stands out better this way. And remember in the vote booth, your vote is actually a vote for Mary Anne and Sharon, and also for Melbob for pushing so assertively I couldn't resist. -tv

Tom? You around?? You offended?? What? ~Lydia

Boy... Tom... this is not you lucky day... cos I'm gunna agree with the folks below... (sorry...)

It does fit the topic, I like the light but I think Sharon has the answer I agree with whole heartedly? The empty seat with very little else around it, just the great mood lighting and composed to minimalise the content would be a specco' composition.

....So.... Tom, .... move directly to that spot tomorrow,... 'do not pass go'.... 'do not collect $200' ..... (ooops, got carried away with Monopoly...thingie) ...and take the shot as Sharon suggested.... ;-)

Those long shadows are what really suggest the stillness at the end of a day, but there seem to be too many elements here that distract from that idea. Maybe if you cropped down to the top of the nearest car?

This is not as interesting to me as your other two, Tom. But, the other two are really good. ~Lydia

I like the light and shadow in this but it seems a bit busy. Perhaps if you narrowed in on the chair on the bridge it might be a bit more powerful. ~Sharon

You did have an amazingly productive journey home - at least in terms of photography! Also perfectly suited to the challenge. Yet, if I may say so, not quite "grabbing" me as much as the previous two. Just a personal preference, I think, and others are welcome to disagree. Thanks for an excellent kick-off. Regards.
