Thank you Lydia, CJ, and DT. Many homes in this neighborhood are being rehabbed just as this one is, and I've seen prices go up substantially in the past few years despite the economy because of how the area is changing.

Humble...well, I guess it depends on where it's located. It would probably sell for more than you believe in Calif....sigh! Great image for the topic. -dtallakson

Very humble looking now but with a little TLC this would be a very cute little house! It actually looks like someone is painting this, or am I imaging things? CJ

Hey, thanks for the comments. Nico, I had thought about cropping the left side to the vertical line of the blue clapboards above the roof but decided that I wanted that patch of white to the left of the porch. However, it's probably too distracting. I may crop it. I appreciate the suggestion.

I find it interesting, that when looking at the thumbnail (the tiny thumbnail in hte comments section) without my glasses on, this looked like really modern, white architecture - the blue being sky. Imagine my surprise at the absolute transformation when clicking on the thumbnail!

I find this really touching... emotive... beautiful and sad all at the same time. Well seen and captured, Mary Anne. The blue colour (my favourite) makes the pic for me. Did you try a slightly tighter crop, with left of the pic cut off a little bit more? Just wondering? Regards Nico
