Nico, nice call on the Orton influence. :) You're right about the crop, however, I liked it off center because it, along with the tilt, added tension to the image. The problem is that if I crop a bit more off the left side of the photo, I lose the blue which seems to anchor the image. Hence the not-quite-on to the rule of thirds, resulting in your discomfort. And, BTW, you certainly have the right to question me!!! :) And, thank you for doing so. :) Thank you all, gentlemen, for commenting. ~ Lonnit

Lonnit, I like the natural, informal style, the hair in the face, etc. I presume the post-processing was sort of "orton" style... blurred and sharpened layers? I would be the last on to give you advice on portraiture, but if I dared, it would have been to say that I would have preferred her face to be either totally in the middle or really off-centre.
