Great shapes and colors Shu, as always! I like the play of shadows over the ceramics also. CJ

Nico,Thanks for noticing! I'm here to learn so it's back to the original w the dark shadow removed, as you suggested. shu

Hi shu, this is slightly different from the first one you posted, not so? I hope you did not change it following my comment, because to be honest, I liked the original better (as far as I can recall it.)

By the way, so many thanks for your kind comments on my PBase Galleries. I am honoured by your feedback.

Regards Nico

Nice light and feeling of intimacy

Light and reflections, in addition to the color, are what make this work for me.

Thanks Nico. You are always so supportive. It makes photography so much more fun when critiques are tastefully offered. I don't know about the others, but I want the members to critique my images as much as they dare. I know that we're "sensitive artists" but I for one will take critiques with my chin out.

The red is a leather chair at my dining room table with the morning sun streaking in between the blinds. Just moved the sugar and creamer to the edge on the silver mats and belittled myself by thinking "this is just too simple........" shu

Count on shu to do a black-and-white-on-red... and make it all work out too nicely!

How did you do the red in the background, by the way?

Anything I might have tried differently? Not much, but I might have tried different positions or camera angles to try getting rid of one shadow (on the left) that goes into the red zone.

Great post though... and thanks for playing along! :-) Kind regards Nico
