Thanks Michael. Yes, there was a fair amount of work but I enjoyed it and learned a lot. I've been taking some classes at Lynda.com that came as a free bonus with Photoshop CS4. Now, if I could just remember all that material! -dtallakson

Excellent concept and execution. Having just done a PS course I can almost understand how much skill and and hard work has gone into this image - well done!

I amazed at the PP - it must take a long time to do these! It sure fits the expression. CJ

Thanks Lydia, alexeig, and Nico. Lydia, I can verify that there are some extremely odd folks that live here! ;^) -dtallakson

Wow, your PS skills are definitely in quite a different league than where I operate. Wow! Regards Nico

Thanks Nico. The photo of the house is real and the photos of the cards are real. Using different blending modes for the layers allows some shadows on the house to show through to the card level. There's also lots of masking and then painting out the masks. Some shadows were enhanced or burned in. It did take a loooong time ;^) dtallakson

How brilliant to convey the expression!

If this is PS, I will have to fly to the US for some lessons... I can see one trying to do something like this in PS, but the parts that are half-hidden and which have shadows against the walls... goodness gracious, that HAS to be for real? No?

Whichever way this was captured/edited: compliments on a very striking and perfectly on topic pic! Regards Nico

Thanks Traveller. Just a lot of Photoshop time using blending modes, distort, warp and dodging and burning. -dtallakson
