Thanks for the nice comment, John. I started posting in these challenges quite a while back and to this day am most grateful for the comments/suggestions/critique from those fellow challengers who were brave enough to offer their comments. I learnt enormously - and still do each time. Some of the "older hands" (hopefully no-one will feel offended by not being mentioned by name) like Lonnit, Pops, Olaf, Vikas, Mr Puff, theFly, elips, etc etc come to mind. Kind regards Nico

Thanks CJ !! I tried to match the color of the houses border, definately a great suggestion.Thought scaling down size of base would help so did that as well. You and Nico have helped this scene (and my learning !!) tremendously. will post the original in pending for other "new shooters" to see/learn Thanks again John

If it hadn't been for the "snow" on the tree base, I would have thought this was a real house too John! I wonder if burning the base to make it blend in with the background would make it look even more real? CJ

oops!! You are right Nico. Forgot I have not calibrated new monitor yet, looked on old computer and can even see the bumps and wrinkles in background. Tyvm for pointing out. Definately will try to make it better. John

Mmmm, what I nice pic to open the gallery with. Lovely concept... and I also thought the house was real! If I could change anything, it would be to make the background darker / less visible, but otherwise I like the low-key style and just right amount of light coming from inside the building. Well done indeed!
