Devil's Churn

Cape Perpetua, OR

The waves hitting the rocks here sound like a dull thump, followed by a splash.

Thanks Melbob, Devil's churn is a short hike down a cliff on a very nicely paved path that you cannot see in this photo. However, you can leave the path and walk right past the warning signs and get some really cool over the edge photos.
And, yes, -dtallakson, I did use a little PP in this, please don't laugh, just a little slide to the left on the "Highlights" slider in Picasa3, a free download from Google. I am still exploring photo editing software, any suggestions are welcome. I may have added a little tiny bit of sharpen as well.
Thanks again for the comments!

Good image, Lisa Marie. Did you use any PP? The water is so crisp and alive. -dtallakson

I can hear the crashing and thud of the swell and so close to the edge?... Hope you had something to hang onto Lisa Marie?... so slippery, so close!

Good post ~ Regards Melbob

Always so spectacular to watch - and hear! And always an interesting subject to photograph... to get the timing and everything just right. Well done and thanks for the entry. Regards Nico
