Can I say that I love this? It's got everything I like, a fountain pen, well maybe a ballpoint pen but a pen none the less, pure simple lines, no distracting elements and a sense of humor - "still hasn't hatched." LOL It inspired me to shoot 4810. WTG K2!

I like the satin finish and how it blends nicely into the background. The crisp, gold clip really stands out as a nice contrast. ~dtallakson

Thanks, Jim :) It's the pen's satin surface + the shaded, sunken area it lies in, that makes it slide off into nothingness, more than a shallow DOF. Almost no PP on this, just some light sharpening and boosting the golden color a little. -k2

That is a cooool pen :) And I love the very shallow DOF on this, and where you placed the plane of focus. Or was there some blurring done? Either way, it looks positively surreal! Jim H.
