Mushrooms

Some are our favorites, some deadly poisonous. Please refer to a standard mushroom guidebook before eating any wild funghi! You must be familiar with poisonous funghi and how to identify them!
The Woodland Trust have a good but incomplete article (missing eg boletus satanoides) here
Toxic Funghi
The classic book is 'Mushrooms and other fungi of great Britain and Europe' by Roger Phillips
Publ:Macmillan ISBN: 0 330 26441 9. Rogers Mushrooms is now available again on Amazon.

Lastly I do not accept any responsibility for the incorrect identification of any funghi and the results of their ingestion which may be fatal. If in doubt dont even pick them!

My family would probably only pick from the Boletus Family which my mum reckons are the king of wild mushrooms. However I am aware that Chantarelles are tasty too. Lovely photos anyway

Very nice gallery. I am ignorant when it comes to mushrooms. They all seem very tempting and edible to me. Maybe your good presentation is misleading me. Anyway you get my vote.
