Arge ochropa (Gmelin) (Argidae) larvae -- a species of Sawfly -- on rose leaf

Found on rose leaves. Probably the larval form of a
Sawfly photographed (probably) depositing eggs through a slit cut
into the stem of a nearby rosebush on July 9, 2004.
I found a photo of a very similar insect on the NRC website. The larvae look
like some that I photographed on a rose leaf in the same
area of the garden last summer.
This is a photo of the larvae on the rose leaves seen last summer.
And this is a photo of the larvae from the NRC website.
