Tower arches from North transept

...the lower arch with ogee to support central fan of lierne vault above (previous). Remarkably, the present upper tower was inserted as the last part of the main building in the C15th; there are a number of tell-tale diagonal butresses not quite fitting in with the flow that must have been put in to provide support. http://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/glos/vol4/pp275-288
