It was a surreal experience visiting a place that had for all my life up to that point been a mere emblem, an abstract, and turning it into real memories. I stood in the rain for about 45 minutes waiting to get in, and once I did the storm broke into a beautiful afternoon. I returned the next evening to catch some twilight shots and was not disappointed.
