Red Fox February 2011 inVermont

A beautiful full-coated Red Fox appeared near our house today, hunting around the bird feeders. It lurched after a Gray Squirrel but missed. After investigating several potential meal sites, it loped off into the woods. It seems to have found some small morsel already dead-probably a mouse or mole.
