This may be as close as we get to climbing Chimney Rock.
While the state did purchase Chimney Rock as a state park for about $25 million,
they came up about $25 million short of the asking price! As part of the purchase
agreement, the Morse family will continue to own & operate Chimney Rock
for the next TEN YEARS to make up the deficit. Unless we want to pay
Adam Fox to be our guide, looks like we might be waiting a while to climb there.
