I tried it too! My 'scritchy' lines didn't come out as thin as in the other examples, don't know why, I played with all sorts of variations on the filter variables... this result reminds me of the mexican paint-on-black-velvet style. Thanks for the tutorial and the technique. - astra

I think the size and color variants in the image make a difference in the lines. You might want to try running the first end result through the same steps again. I find this works best on images that are somewhere in the 1600x1200 range or a little bit larger. If, like me, you primarily use it as a compostie layer with other things you can scale it up to where you need it. It holds up rather well. It's great to see everyone trying this and enjoying it. - Helen
