The rays must be sunlight reflecting through a window but I am unsure of the brownish coloring. Looking past the rays I am delighted to see the reflection of the cloth onto the silver service. I really didn't notice those reflections that much in the original. The way the rays frame the main piece drew my eyes in to that particular part. skunk
