Vasilisa the Fair

Daughter
Abused, adept
Tending, coursing, kindling
Cannibal fodder, mother's doll
Empress

Another old image slightly altered to work for this Russian tale. In the story, a peasant girl is empowered through her own wit, skills, and by a doll she nurtures (left to her by her mother). She rises from peasant to Tsarina.

You know I love your work - and I saw you in this one before I even opened it. And the poem is your message.

There is such a depth and richness in your images. Each one is a story in itself. And again, I think the peasant girl resembles you. Beautiful. --skunk

Love the image and the story--Cinquain lends itself so well for telling a story succinctly, and the image enhances it beautifully.
