Another strong, but ambiguous, image. Is she outside looking in, or inside looking out? Anxious, afraid or breathless in anticipation? A picture that draws you in again and again. Good work on the shadows and the hint of color in her lips too. >PaulJSvBFCM

I see her as being both expectent and afraid - I'm going there ready or not sort of thing. But also with a certain amount of trepidation. Kind of like a prisoner waiting for the gate to open but not sure what will be out there.
Great combo of images.

Great image. My interpretation of this, without seeing you comment, is that it is a person who is witnessing an unspeakable event. It has overtones of fear or dread. The lack of any cheerful color emphasizes the emotional impact.--skunk

katie is in her final year of college where she is a double major art and english student. i snapped these two images (Wire fence and katie's portrait) at the school and blended them. my meaning here is that katie is ready to blast into the wide wide world w her wonderful artwork and amazing talent for writing.....the only thing holding her back is a few more months of school (wire fence).~~ isolated for the moment from the real world! LOL

thanks for your comment almita. you are an amazing thinker! shu

A haunting image, Shu; like many of your images, it has emotional resonance. The palette is ideal too. She is imprisoned--why? Is it a physical barrier, or a psychological one? I love images that make me speculate and that affect my emotions.
