It is absolutely beautiful, and the ominous meaning is sort of a comment on the uncertainty of life in general, as well as the current state of things. That is, it's a classic piece with an immortal theme.

I see this as a message of beauty and prosprity about to tumble into the big black hole of nothingness. The edges of the hole remind me of snakeskin - as the being circling the hole. It has very ominous overtones for me. Lovely image of the bird and flowers, tho! Well done image - I love a storytelling image!!!
