I started with Opal and WaterWaves, both modified using Liquify, with the distort filter Shear applied to the WaterWaves layer, which I set to Difference. Then I extracted and added the Sand Dollar, transformed it with Warp, duplicated the layer, flipped it, and modified the two copies independently, still using Warp. These layers are set to Pin Light blending mode at 69%. Finally, I selected the shiniest area of Opal (which I think is probably an abalone shell), and warped it into a variety of shapes, but kept only the one that was used at the very top of the image. This layer is also set to Pin Light, this time at 100%.
I know what I see in the various shapes here, but I'm not sure how to interpret it yet. Hence, the generic title. There seems to be some sort of story involved, though. What do you see?
