thanks for your comments! it's funny how one can see an image in an ordinary scene. i love red and it always seems to pop out at me. yes, this took second place in the cichallenge "christmas" recently - a challenge where image manipuylation is generally unacceptable. maybe all that is changing? LOL
This is great. Did I see that this took first place in the photo contest you entered on Pbase. Maybe you can tell us more about that. I especially like how the gold on the ornament ties it in to the sepia background. This has such a rich and elegant look.

This is great! Love the red against the sepia. The title of the image is so appropriate! One last brave burst of color in a season that is winding down and returning to the every day blandness of the rest of the year.
