Cybergrannie

Monuments

Grandfather, Stonehenge, and Tires--fairly simple weave; the lower left corner needed a counterweight--cruised my image files for several days--finally settled on the lizard as an observer of human folly, or whatever?

Nice one, Almita! Great contrast and tonality here, and I do like the composition. Kinda reminds me a little of my trip to Luxor. Many of the monuments had graffiti on them - chiseled into the rock was the names of several of the European explorers from the late 1800's. Rather insensitive, I thought... /Tormod

I get the feeling that the image of my grandfather on the rocks is more like an image in a mirror. What a strange feeling--very ghostly. And just what is that lizzard thinking about? Putting those tires in this monument really reflects how it is with some folks tossing their garbage out the window not careing if it trashes the land.--- Talk about content in an image. Loved how this turned out. Glad to see some black and white pictures. This is a keeper, Almita.
