Uluru and Aurora Borealis on my bike

On my list:
Ride my bike across Australia.
Touch Ayers Rock.
See the Northern Lights.
Get tombstones for people who were close to me. (Represented by the candles because they reminded me of a candlelight vigil or memorial)

Canon PowerShot S40
1/40s f/5.6 at 12.3mm full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Oh, and what a great job of putting those candles into the grass. PDG--(pretty darn good)

I love the candles and what they mean. I bet Paul could come up with a great poem for this. The whole picture just takes me into another realm. I have only seen the northern lights once--when I was a kid camping in northern Minnesota. They hung down from the sky like ribbon candy. Waves and waves. ---skunk

I too would love to visit Australia, though probably not on a bike. The northern lights are simply awesome! Occasionally, we see them here, not often, but it's always magical when they appear. Here's a snippet of useless trivia...did you know that in Japanese culture, it's considered extremely good luck to have been conceived under the Aurora Borealis? Apparently, a large part of far northern tourism in Canada and Alaska is made up of Japanese honeymooners.
I love how you've combined the images...once again, such a sense of possibilities.

And may your rides be many - I have a woman friend who still rides her Harley, by herself, to bike week. and she is in her 60's!!
Keep on rollin'!
And I like your image and your goals.
