Thirty Nine Years Of Time

Me with newest grandchild,Gary Alan. Photograph is of me with my two children, John & Kati. Kati is Gary's mother. The background is of a sky and a yellowed texture layer, blended together. The art history brush was used for the figures with a sketch layer blended over that.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

You look just like a kid yourself with your kids! Nice memory image for the new kids. Gotta frame that one.

Skunk! No, no, no....I am not a 39 year old grandma!!!!!!!!!! My DAUGHTER is thirty nine, and now I hold HER child. I think I better change this title!

So you're a grand mom-ma at thirty-nine. I definitely like the way you painted yourself in the foreground giving emphasis to the new little grandchild and using the bottle as a pointing device towards the actual photograph. I like this image better than the average generational photos where we all stand posed for the photographer. The frame edge works well, also. Good one.--skunk

Poignant and sweet. It is interesting that the past is in focus and the present is dreamy--I'll have to think about that idea...
