Bolton Abbey

For those who have never seen pictures of Bolton Abbey (the cover of the Faith album) I managed to get a few pictures of this this rarely visited cure landmark at the weekend, near the yorkshire dales near where I come from.

I believe the Charlotte Sometimes video was shot in an abandoned insane asylum, I remember reading it on the Pictures of You site, under the "Cure News" zines. Though I doubt this info will help you, as you posted that question nearly three years ago...

GREAT !! Let´s trade. But did you know that the opening track on "Pornography" was originally called "One hundred and ONE years". The missing year is now on sale at Ebay. Check that out. It looks great because it´s such a long and depressing year. Great photos too...

Well, I also have had my questions about the meaning of 'abbey', the only thing I could thing was about the Abbey Rd. and the Beatles. hahaha, by the way, has anyone been fooled today yet?

An abbey is more or less a church with housing for the monks / nons who lived there. With gardens, kitchen and all that. They provided their own food and wines/beers, they did the service in church, cared for the people that lived in that same area. Pretty much a little village for the people of that chruch. A lot of old european cities are build around abbeys.

After seeing this I want to go back to England for a 3rd time. This reminds me of St. Andrews in Plymouth except it's in the middle of a roundabout. Abbey? British term for Church, Cathedral or Convent . . . ?
