The strange fruit is on the Sausage Tree-Kigelia pinnata it is native to Africa and is planted as a curiosity in south Florida,the Carribean and Hawaii.The fruit is pollinated by bats in Africa or by hand to assure fruit setting in other tropical locations. The fruit is kind of like a long gourd-just for looks!I have enjoyed seeing these pics from paradise!
