This image combines three photo's side by side so they can be easily compared. The images are at full size, just as they come out of the camera, so you can see all of the detail available.
In Image "A-UZI Full Zoom.tiff" the UZI 10x zoom lens is at full telephoto.
In Image "B-UZI+C210FullZoom.tiff" the UZI has the C-210 (x1.9) lens installed.
In Image "C-UZIDigitalZoom.tiff" the UZI full zoom (x10) plus full digital zoom (x2.7) =x27.
Clearly the image produced by Digital Zoom is not nearly as sharp as images produced by either optical zoom lens, but it is substantially larger. Until I took the next photo I thought that Digital Zoom was not worth using, assuming that one could always use software to enlarge a photo and get as good an image as can be accomplished with digital zoom. But the next photo illustrates that the digital zoom image is slightly better then what you can get by enlarging the photo with software later.
