Some dates stick in your head.
You remember what you were doing when you heard the news nine years ago,
and thinking
"It's not too late. If I could just go back to that morning. If I had gone over and said hello when I heard his voice in the other room --
delayed him -- ten seconds might have made the difference."
The car would have still spun out of control, but maybe things might have been different.
