Old Glory
Day 180

I've been meaning to take a picture of the Euonymus Alatus shrub in front of the house and 'managed' to get around to it today... ;^)
There were just a few leaves left on the ground, so I made do with what I had.

This is a composite of the bush, and me in the voting booth, preparing to mark my ballot for Election Day.
I can't believe this day is finally here.

It's time for the pundits to shut up and for the people to speak at last.

The people have spoken, and it seems we are a nation devided....
"United we stand... Divided we fall."
Do not we remember the last time our nation was divided?
It was called the civil war, I think that is an even more scary than the fact that Bush was re-elected, though I did do my part to get him out of office....
Sorry to rant in here.... I will not say anymore
Except this:
Carmen this is an absolutly fantastic image! I really do love it!!

Terrific, wonderful picture. Well, the people have spoken, and now I'm deeply depressed. Ugh. But setting that aside, I love what you did here. Great planning and execution. I'm surprised someone didn't toss you from the booth for taking a picture!

WOW very cool image!

Hey that's cool! Great concept. I so wanted to get a photo inside the polling center, but was afraid they'd be prohibited. However...sneaking my camera into my private booth didn't occur to me! Nice, Carmen!

I'm baaa-aaack!!! I just realized you're gonna be represented by Barak Obama (unless some miracle happens and the demagogue Alan Keyes wins), you lucky soul. He's on my list of people to meet before I die.
René Gysi02-Nov-2004 23:04
Very creative. Good composition.

You have taken Photoshop to the max here Carmen. Well done.

BTW, that looks like the infamous "butterfly ballot" from 2000 Florida debacle...
jypsee02-Nov-2004 21:15
VOTING!!!!!VOTING!!!!VOTING!!!! (did I mention, I'm voting for this??)
You are so CLEVER!! did you really make a photo in the voting booth? I shoulda thought of that? At the end of the touchscreen process, there's a review page with all the votes cast indicated; course, it could be photoshopped and faked.... so maybe that wouldn't work.
Wow, I am just KNOCKED OUT by this!! too cool!!!
