"Knee-high by the Fourth of July"

This would be an impressive picture, if I was taller than knee-high myself!

This was taken in the farmer's field out back of my house. I actually had to find a patch where the corn was shorter, so I wouldn't be totally overshadowed.
GMO? I don't know... We had a good bit of rain this spring.

Decided to go out and get this before the rain comes in; we're back under clouds right now.

I remember the old knew high although the modern hybrids have far outdistanced this. I'll have to remember neck high now.

I love this shot. For 15 years, I had a cornfield directly across the road from my home. Last year it was replaced with about 200 new high-priced homes. As beautiful as some of those houses are, I miss that damn corn field. Go figure. I always meant to get my butt across the road and photograph that corn field that I thought would ALWAYS be there. S/he who hesitates is lost, lol. Great photo, Carmen.

Hello Carmen... we had miserable weather this weekend too (although for obvious reasons, we Brits don't celebrate 4 July). Hope you had a good 'un.

Great Fourth picture Carmen. I guessed the caption the moment I saw it.

The corn is like this all over this part of the country. It seems the farmers wil have some good corn crops this year.

Oklahoma was on TV this morning, and I was singing this song!
Perfect photo for the 4th of July!

I saw corn like this in southern Wisconsin on my drive up and couldn't get over it; the rain sure has helped!! Love this!!

You have a good crop there. I instantly thought of that knee-high thing when I saw this.
