Cepphus grylle mandtii - High Arctic: West- and East-Greenland to North-Siberia, North-Alaska and Northeast-Canada;
Cepphus grylle arcticus - Low Arctic and temperate: South-Greenland to British Islands, Scandinavia, Southeast-Canada;
Cepphus grylle islandicus - Iceland;
Cepphus grylle faeroeensis - Faeroe Islands;
Cepphus grylle grylle - Baltic Sea.
