Senegal to Ethiopia.

The following 3 subspecies are being recognized:
Cossypha albicapillus albicapillus - Senegal to Guinea;
Cossypha albicapillus giffardi - Ghana to Nigeria, South-Chad and North-Cameroon;
Cossypha albicapillus omoensis - Extreme Southeast-Sudan to Southwest-Ethiopia.
