Purple Roller (Rufous-Crowned Roller) - Coracias naevius - Roodkruinscharrelaar
Africa south of the Sahara, excluding the Congo bassin.
The following 2 subspecies are being recognized:
Coracias naevius naevius - South-Mauretania and Senegal to Eritrea, Somalia and Tanzania;
Coracias naevius mosambicus - Angola and Namibia to Zambia, South-Mozambique and Northeast-South Africa.
