Vermont's Champlain Valley can on occasion be a good place to chase a sunset, thanks to the Green Mountains to the east, where billowing cumulus can be colorfully illuminated, and Lake Champlain and the Adirondack massif to the west. By chasing I mean finding a good vantage point before the show starts, then remaining there long enough for the color to come. .
