Burdocks won't bother your skin like poison parsnips, but after the flowers turn into round seedheads, the burrs in which the seeds are packaged will sure bother your clothing--or your hair, if you're unfortunate enough to get that up close and personal with them. They're even worse when the plant is dead and dried up, like the ones in this picture, because the burrs come off so easily. Besides the aggravation and the time needed to pick off all the stickers without having them crumble into even stickerier pieces, there is the intensely stupid feeling of having known it would be so easy to go around them and have nothing to do with them and here you are painstakingly restoring your clothing to something livable AGAIN. Then it's time to deal with the dog.
