These bamboo rafts were fun. Only the central sitting platform stays dry, the "floor" periodically sinks, so your feet get wet. Luckily I sussed this out watching other rafts up and down the river, and we turned up in shorts and waterproof sandals. A lot of people on this trip arrived in boots, socks and long trousers - I think they were expecting Kon Tiki.
