07/22/12 Greenburgh Nature Center, Scarsdale NY

We had a large group for this walk, which was led by Lisa Solomon. Although it rained heavily a couple of days previously, we didn’t find many mushrooms, though what we found was quite interesting. Here is the list:
Polypores and Stereums: Fomitopsis spraguei, Inonotus dryadeus, Phellinus gilvus, Phellinus robinaee/rimosus, Meripilus sumstinei, Polyporus varius, Oxyporus populinus, Stereum commune, Stereum ostrea, Trichaptum biforme
Gilled Mushrooms: Conocybe lactea, Mycena galericulata, Pluteus cervinus, Xerula furfuracea
Boletes: Tylopilus alboater
Ascomycetes: Scutellinia scutellata
Myxomycetes: Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa, Lycogala epidendrum
