George Johanson, the walk leader reported: ‘I saw Mycena leaiana, Coprinus micaceus, Psathyrella velutina, and about forty morels, some of which were over the hill and some which hadn't reached the hill yet and looked delectable. None of them were the black kind, of course, but they differed widely in size and age. There may have been more morels found but I wasn't privy to everyone's haul and quite a few left before the lunch. I told everyone before the walk that we might get skunked but we sure weren't and I was so glad to see Don Shernoff get at least a half dozen nice specimens.‘
