 Sept. 1: The month starts with a full moon through trees. |
 It's time to visit Ocean Point in search of butterflies, but... |
 ....they are not here yet. |
 But the tourists ARE still here and getting instruction for using their kayaks. |
 September 4: Late Summer/Early Fall come to Boothbay Harbor where |
 ....flowers still abound with their cozy cottages nearby. |

 ....on the world filled with color! |
 And the streets are bereft of tourists...well almost, but it IS colder. |
 Boats still enhabit the habba on a crisp day. |
 Sept 5: Lorelei! Oh Lorelei, where are you? |
 So that there is something other than flowers and.... |
 ...strange doorways to photograph!?? |
 Sept. 8: They're baaaackkk! Lorelei surrounded by toys. |
 It's a hot day, so to the beach we go where.... |
 ...there are always dogs and Lorelei hasn't met one yet that she doesn't like! |
 Ajax asks to come in. |
 "Let us in!!" |
 Lunch on the 8th is yogurt! |
 And it looks like SOME of it got into the mouth. |
 Sept. 9: We head out to the Maine State Aquarium on a rainy day. |
 Something indoors is just made to order and .... |
 ...what could be better than petting sharks!! |
 And seeing indigenous fish like striped bass! |
 The blue lobster in the touch display is interesting as are.... |
 ....starfish, but... |
 ....the sharks are favorites. |
 Alewives are beautiful...blue and purple reflected from lights. |
 It's a small aquarium with several interesting... |
 displays....sponges and anemone. |
 The touch display includes sea cucumbers and much more, but.... |
 ...the sharks are still.... |
 ....the favorite!! |
 The porch around the building protects from rain and the benches... |
 ....are great to jump from! |
 Mom made popsicles.... |
 ...yummy! |
 Don't waste any..keep it in the mouth! |
 Sept. 10: It's Indian Relations day, so we're on Indian Island. |
 Sept. 11: Seventh Anniversary and time to unearth Osama Bin 'Forgotten'.... |
 ...and compare Patraeus to .... |
 ....Westmoreland...appropriate!! |
 When WILL we leave Iraq? Not soon, but they'll do their best to keep us... |
 ...afraid...very, VERY afraid and will remind.... |
 ...us of New York and the Towers where.... |
 Corporate America is rebuilding and families will remember here one last time! Next year it'll be all new! |
 Then it's time to go out to a farm to capture... |
 .....Old New England as it used to farm. |

 Sept. 15: A trip to Marden's brings new shoes...Stride Rite at a steal! |
 The 16th is a beautiful day for a trip to Camden! |
 It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! |

 Lorelei finds another dog....in Camden. |
 Then she feeds the ducks with such... |
 ...glee that it's hard to stop! |
 And the ducks are thrilled! |
 Then there's a wedding in the park and we get to... |

 On the way back to the car, we make one last stop at the.... |

 ....with time to do a bit of chasing! |

 Sept. 16: We run into Portland and find Carnival is in town! |
 Looks like a monster sitting in the street! |
 Sept. 17: Ron goes to Damariscotta for this class and I wander. |
 I find an old cemetery. |

 We walk into the 'Farmer's Market' section to find fresh veggies and fruits. |
 And like any market, a scale is needed! |

 It's amazing what kids find interesting...this composting bin on wheels is great! |
 Then it's off to the sheep trials again. |

 Today we stop in the poultry barn where the geese are interesting along with... |

 ...lightroom where we have a sweeping view and feel... |
 ....like we're on top of the world up here where... |

 Sept. 26: We go for a sail on the East Wind and heeling sits us on the deck! |
