I was shooting with my G6 yesterday and the LCD panel simply split apart as I was turning it to the 180º position
It hadn't been dropped (that I KNOW of) and there was no warning this would happen
Luckily it is less than a year old
So I took it back to where I got it (Best Buy)
They can't or won't fix it but instead chose to trade it out for an equal valued camera (the G6 is no longer available . . PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE!!!)
So I opted for the S2 IS . . . fewer mp's than the G6 (5 compared to 7)
But it has a better zoom (12X optical as compared to 4X)
And OF COURSE the batteries and memory cards are not interchangeable
So now I have three Canon proprietary batteries and three 1 GB ultra memory cards that are useless
I don't know if I did better or worse
But now I have another new camera to get used to
I changed the foto to B&W in Mode, then again changed back to RGB in mode and adjusted the color hues to mostly blues
Then played with curves to get this result
The original is here
