SF-Jan2007

On the day kevin experienced his vaso spasm "episode/setback," I was wondering the streets doing my best to listen for God's voice. A song came on my iPod that really hit me close to home...a Nickel Creek song that Kevin & I both really like (When You Come Back Down)...so I literally stopped there on the sidewalk, leaned against the closest wall I could find, and just cried. I'm sure I was quite a sight.

When the song finished playing, I turned to keep walking towards my destination and, looking down, saw this "etching" in the concrete. God does speak to us people...and not always in a whisper.

When I returned 2 days later to take this picture, I was prepared to discover that the "etching" was no longer there. Fortunately, God left it around long enough for me to take this picture. Also, notice, another "Kevin" in the top right-hand corner of the shot.

This picture and story is so touching. I don't think anyone could read it without shedding a few tears. God is an Awsome God!
Thanks

God DOES reach out and meet us exactly where we are! (This reminds me of the visual "object lessons" God gave Israel all throughout the Old Testament.) What a neat photo and story to share with little Eli someday so he'll know how the Lord was walking with you on this journey.

Micah was at our house last night and of course was checking on Kevin. I told her to be sure to check the pictures. She was as surprised as I was when she saw this picture. I can't wait till she hears the "rest of the story." Jeff, it might be hard to consider this a blessing, but God is so close to you during this situation. Can you imagine climbing this mountain without God? That's why we must tell others about Jesus so they can have His strength to climb. God bless. Your witness is touching so many lives. Keep preaching!!! Go Jesus.
